Microneedling: The New Facial
Microneedling gives you softer, smoother skin.
The old saying that good things come in small packages couldn’t be more true. This little tool offers big results and has completely disrupted the idea of the traditional facial. If you’re looking for an alternative to laser therapy, Microneedling is the perfect solution for patients with darker skin tones at risk for hyperpigmentation, or those who don’t want to avoid the sunlight for weeks.
Plus you can target much more than just the face. Microneedling treatments can be done anywhere, and are particularly popular for those who suffer from stretch marks or post-natal scarring. Our medical estheticians have treated areas like the legs, face, and back. Creating a softer smoother texture can be done in as little as five treatments.
How it Works
Microneedling, also known as skin needling, is a procedure using a device covered with tiny, shallow needles to essentially poke holes in the skin surface. Those holes are actually therapeutic, since they cause a ‘micro injury’ that prompts skin to stimulate collagen production, filling in fine lines, plumping the skin and contributing to a younger look. Cosmetic needling is done with a roller and can be done at home, whereas Medical needling is done at our Medi-Spa with the Needling Pen.
How many treatments?
Most guests should plan on five treatments at three to four week intervals.
Does it hurt?
This depends on the treatment intensity. But as the needles are very tiny, the pain is most likely to be minimal. If you have sensitive skin, you can apply numbing cream to minimize pain during the procedure.
What can I expect after my treatment?
You will experience some redness and mild swelling anywhere from hours to a couple days depending on the intensity and depth of the treatment. You might even notice a slight bruising or tiny blood spots, but they will disappear in 24 to 48 hours. Your skin will become smoother and radiant in a week.
How long is a session?
Each session takes approx. 20-30 minutes depending on the area.
What areas can be treated?
Anywhere on the entire body.
Can I combine it with other treatments?

I went for the first time to have micro needling for some acne scars after a friend had highly recommended Urban Body. All of the staff were very friendly and informative answering my questions and concerns. Hardip was very patient with me and provided excellent advice and service. I will be going in for a follow up treatment in 4 weeks. 5 stars all around.
